I'm pretty deep into my training for the
NYC Marathon
And I am truly enjoying it.
Though, tomorrow I'm relieved to only have to run 13 miles.
My marathon schedule dictates a reduction in miles every 3rd week.
(thank goodness)
But, PEOPLE, have I told you how amazing my husband is?
He is doing every single training run with me...and he isn't even running the marathon!
That means:
- I don't have to run alone in the dark in the morning
- I have someone to talk to the whole time
- And that my training doesn't take away from quality time spent together as a couple...
I know, mushy, but totally true.
Each morning we get up around 5am, get into our running gear, and run along the Hudson River.
We discuss Jed's screenpaly ideas & film production plans and I vent about stress at work.
Sometimes Jed gives me tips for race-day strategy,
and sometimes we just listen to the rythm of our steps and the lapping of the river along the shore.
I regularly proclaim my love of running to Jed before, during, and at the end of these runs.
And more importantly, I regularly proclaim my gratitude for him running with me.
I LOVE IT
I also love that every mile I run is for a good and worthy cause.
Every run is dedicated to making someone's life better.
If you want to donate to my marathon cause & help Robin Hood fight poverty in NYC,
100% of your money will help impoverished people living in this amazing but tough city we love so much.
And don't even hesitate if your donation is a small one. Even $10 can make a difference!
THANK YOU to those of you who have already made a donation!
I will think of each and every one of you as I run that race.
I am not even kidding.
And if you haven't yet donated, go ahead, CLICK!
